Introduction

I am pleased to present our first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report for 2024/25. This report is aligned with the Sustainable Reporting Standard (SRS) for Social Housing and provides us the opportunity to share, measure and assess the work we are doing while remaining transparent and accountable.

We were founded in 1967 by a group of local people who were concerned about homelessness. Their aim was ‘to provide homes to homeless families, regardless of colour, language, race or creed’, therefore social responsibility has always been our key driver in the work we do.

We now have nearly 7,500 homes across nine south London boroughs, and we have continued to demonstrate our environmental responsibility by improving the lives of our residents. We invest in our homes to ensure they are safe, well-maintained and as energy efficient as possible.

In 2024, the Regulator of Social Housing confirmed our governance rating of G1, following a stability check. G1 is the highest standard of governance in housing.

We will continue to support people across south London who need a home and will continue to deliver against our values, purpose and ESG priorities.
